playlist slider to show most recent episodes first BUT…

we have video podcast that people like to either:

*watch most recent episode

or

*catchup from an old episode moving forward catching up to most recent episode.

I like the slider playlist… i know i can order it so most recent shows first and goes backwards, but if there are 50 episodes, #50 being most recent… then if a user starts at episode 40, how will the auto advance go to 41 then 42 etc unless the playlist is ordered 1…2..3…4..5… etc – which prevents seeing most recent episodes at top of playlist

My thought is, an option to have the playlist “appearance” reversed?
Its in the player as 1…2…3..4… but the thumbnails in the slider are 50…49…48…. etc –

I am probably missing an easier solution, and anxious for assistance, thanks!
