MP4 Video Quality Switching with sub-folders

[Solved]

  • Hamid 11 months, 1 week ago

    Hi,

Thank you for the detailed guide on setting up video quality switching with FV Player. I have a query regarding the implementation. My videos are structured as follows:

    HD: https://my.domain.com/hd/myvideo.mp4
    SD: https://my.domain.com/sd/myvideo.mp4
    Mobile: https://my.domain.com/mobile/myvideo.mp4
I have purchased a license for FV Player Pro and followed the instructions, but I am facing issues with the quality switching feature recognizing my file structure. Could you provide more specific instructions or any additional steps required to configure this properly?

I also couldn’t find a dedicated support section on your site, so I am leaving my query here. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Best regards,

    Hello Hamid,

I did not run into issues with such configuration. I simply entered the following Naming scheme and labels in wp-admin -> FV Player -> Settings -> Quality Switching:

    • /mobile/ Mobile
    • /sd/ SD
    • /hd/ HD

If you already use that and it’s not working please provide a link to a test page which we can open without having to log in.

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Hi Martin,

Thank you very much for your prompt response and the detailed instructions. I followed your guidance and implemented the Naming scheme and labels as suggested:

    /mobile/ Mobile
    /sd/ SD
    /hd/ HD
I’m happy to report that it worked perfectly! I truly appreciate your assistance and the clarity of your instructions.

    Best regards,
    Hamid
