YouTube subtitles do not show (not even on demo page)

Hi there,

I’m searching for a video player that handles subtitles from YouTube well (which Presto surely does not ;-P)

I was looking at FV player and the feature set looks quite well – but I cannot see the subtitles in any of your demos, not even here:
https://foliovision.com/player/demos/youtube-subtitles

I tried both in Firefox and Chrome on a Windows 10 machine.

Is there something I’m missing, or is there a temporary glitch?

Hello Alex,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

The subtitles still worked quite recently. As you can see, FV Player is aware there are the subtitle options parsed from YouTube, but it fails to show them. I will forward this bug to our developers and they will investigate shortly.

Hello Alex,

I found there was a compatibility mode with the FV Player Pro setting which removed the related videos from YouTube videos.

It’s fixed now: https://foliovision.com/player/demos/youtube-subtitles
