Dear Foliovision support,
Our secure Vimeo videos seem to be not accessible any more.
The video plays in Vimeo.
The Vimeo privacy setting is “Private”.
We use the Vimeo security plugin.
The alternative referer is ok on the side of Vimeo and in the FV player settings.The browser console gives this error:
GET (redacted) [HTTP/1.1 206 Partial Content 153ms] Request to access cookie or storage on “(redacted)” was blocked because it came from a tracker and content blocking is enabled. HTTP “Content-Type” of “text/html” is not supported. Load of media resource (redacted) failed. free-taster-maharishis-insights-into-vedic-science-15-january-2022

Hello Michael,
please disable Settings -> FV Player Pro -> Hosting -> Vimeo -> Turbocharge Ajax Vimeo Loading. If it works that way, then we need to improve that Turbocharge loading to support Vimeo video passwords.

also, if you use FV Player Vimeo Security you should not be using the video password on Vimeo as it does not check the referrer that way.

Turbocharge Ajax is not activated anyway.
The privacy setting in Vimeo is:
Private — Only you and people on your account can access.

please double-check that the video is allowed to be embed on the “Alternative Referer” domain.
You mentioned it’s set to:

Yes, I checked again: The Vimeo privacy setting of this video is “Private”, and “Allow embed to (redacted)”.
The FV Player Hosting -> Vimeo -> Alternative Referer allows the same URL.

you have to pick “Hide from Vimeo” instead of “Private”. When the video is set to Private, Vimeo interface shows a note about embeds:
When the privacy is set to “Private”, the embedded video won’t be visible to everyone.
We will ensure our guide uses proper up to date screenshots.

Thank you, with the Vimeo privacy setting “Hide from Vimeo” it works now!
However, I swear on “The Art of Computer Programming” that before we could use the Vimeo setting “Private” as well. :)
