Glitch with Mobile Force Fullscreen

[Solved]

Foliovision › Forums › FV Player › Bug Reports › Glitch with Mobile Force Fullscreen

  • Pádraig Ó Beirn 6 years, 1 month ago

    Hi guys,
A glitch appears to have crept in with one of the recent updates regarding Mobile Force Fullscreen. When this is activated for mobile the top bar (containing social media icons, fullscreen button etc.) doesn’t autohide after a few seconds like the playbar at the bottom does.

This is not a local theme issue as I also see the same thing on the Foliovision Mobile Fullscreen Demo page here:
    https://foliovision.com/player/demos/mobile-force-fullscreen

Tested on the Galaxy Note 8 and Samsung A10.
Thanks, as always, for a brilliant product.

    Hello Pádraig,

thank you for the bug report. We have prepared it for the next release.

If you want it now you can just reinstall FV Player from this file: https://github.com/foliovision/fv-wordpress-flowplayer/archive/master.zip To do that you will have to first deactivate and delete the current FV Player plugin you are using. WordPress will warn you that you might loose settings and data, but it’s not the case with our plugin, no settings now videos will be lost. Or you can just replace the plugin files via FTP.

The issue was that we wanted to make sure the fullscreen exit button is visible during the video loading to make it possible to exit the playback even before the video has finished loading. For example the video might just be loading for too long, or it might end with an error and user needs to be able to exit.

    Thanks,
    Martin

Wow! Thanks Juraj and Martin for the really prompt reply and fix.

I’ve uploaded the master and can confirm that it works. :-) The exit button is there, as you described, while the video loads but now it autohides with the playbar, as expected, when the video starts to play.

    Best wishes,

    Pádraig
