Hi,
I found that using the [referrer_url] URL tag in the FV Player VAST settings of the WordPress plugin (/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=fv_player_vast) does not give the full referring URL but only scheme + host + path, omitting the query part.
E.g. using the configured VAST URL
https://vast.example.com/vast/1234567/?ref_url=%5Breferrer_url%5Dwith a player instance on a page located at
https://www.example.com/article/56878/?s=testwould call
https://vast.example.com/vast/1234567/?ref_url=https://www.example.com/article/56878/when it should (IMHO) be calling
https://vast.example.com/vast/1234567/?ref_url=https://www.example.com/article/56878/?s=testAny chance to fix this?

we have prepared this fix for the next release.
Could you please grab a fresh copy of the plugin from https://foliovision.com/my-licenses and put it up on your website to see if it really works the way it should?
To do that you will have to first deactivate and delete the current FV Player VAST plugin you are using. WordPress will warn you that you might loose settings and data, but it’s not the case with our plugin, no settings now videos will be lost. Or you can just replace the plugin files via FTP.

sorry for the very late response, but I somehow missed the notification for your latest reply (7 months ago :-D)!
I can confirm this kind of works now for us, with only a minor glitch.
Using my sample URL from above, I now get:
https://vast.example.com/vast/1234567/?ref_url=https://www.example.com/article/56878/?s=test/You can see a slash is appended to the URL, which for our use case happens to be a non-issue but might be for others, as the value of “s” is modified from “test” to “test/”.

we did some tests and found that if https://www.example.com/article/56878/?s=test is provided, then it doesn’t pass any trailing slash for the referrer. But if you do include it in the URL like https://www.example.com/article/56878/?s=test/ then it is indeed passed.
