Unable to upload images

Since the upgrade to version 2.0 I’ve been unable to upload images. The button labeled “kfm Bridge” opens the usual window for selecting images, but when I try to import one I get a series of 9 error messages, starting with “filestatus -3” and ending with “modificationdate” plus the date and time. After all that, nothing gets uploaded. After the first message there’s a checkbox on subsequent ones saying “Prevent this page from creating additional dialogs”. Checking that makes the messages stop but still nothing is uploaded.

    Hello Robert,

thank you for trying the new version, we hope you find the new editor faster and easier to use.

However there was no change in the SEO Images file manager part of our plugin. Could you please try to upload some other and small image and see if it still happens?

    Thanks,
    Martin

I also had this problem and switched to the standard WordPress image uploader, but was still unable to upload either images or files.

    Previous version word OK.

I tried importing an image today and it worked just fine. I didn’t change anything on my end, although there have been upgrades to some of my other plugins in the meantime.

    Hi Robert,

If you are still having issues, we recommend returning to the previous version: http://foliovision.com/downloads/foliopress-wysiwyg.zip

Thanks. It’s working now. The image upload button is still labelled “kfm Bridge”, though. What does that mean?

    Hi Robert,

I’m glad version 2 is working for you. Version two is currently not supported.

KFM is the underlying technology of the image manager (heavily modified). The nominal enhancements of version two are not in the image manager but in the WYSIWYG editor.

If you do run into difficulties, please roll back to the last version of version one.

    Hi,

Im also unable to upload images. I tried to upload pictures into the a content page with the quick insert button. The popup shows this error:

    Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@joopscameracollection.nl and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    Apache/2 Server at http://www.joopscameracollection.nl Port 80

    How can i fix this?

    Martin 11 years ago

    Hello Erwin,

could you please check your PHP error logs? You can try enabling WP_DEBUG in wp-config.php (but don’t forget to turn it off afterwards) or your host should be able to point you to the right place.

Also, check the “Server requirements” as described here: http://foliovision.com/wordpress/plugins/wysiwyg/installation

    Thanks,
    Martin
