Foliovision › Forums › FV WP Link Robot › Troubleshooting › Only the add links section is showing

  • aLEX 14 years, 3 months ago

    Hello,

    I’ve added the code:

    <!– wp_link_robot_genlinks –>
    <!– wp_link_robot_addlinks –>

created catagories and added links, but only the add links section is showing. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Alex,

please check if you have correctly set the Directory slug name, see the post above. This might be the reason why the links are not rendering.

Thanks for getting in touch so quickly.
    The page is http://www.ishevents.org/useful/links
and I have the slug as links.

I’ve tried leaving it blank, having full url and useful/links.

    Thanks, Alex

    Hi Alex,

I would say that directory slug name should be only ‘links’ in this case.

Hi, I am having the same problem as Alex, the previous comment…
    I’ve added the code:

    <!– wp_link_robot_genlinks –>
    <!– wp_link_robot_addlinks –>

I’ve created categories and added links, but only the add links section is showing. My slug name is ‘directory-2′…Hope u can help me…
    Thanks!

    Hi Richie,

on your website I can see that you do not have enabled permalinks – you’re using the default option. In your case the directory slug name should be empty.

    Hi Alex,

you can also try to update the permalinks structure, just go to the permalinks page and click Save changes.

Thanks for the quick reply! I am now able to see both the links and the link submission box on my page. However, like Emily asked in a previous post:

After viewing the links within a category folder, when pressing the “back” link how can I go back to my links page instead of my home page?

    Thanks again!

    zdenka 14 years ago

    Hi Richard,

Yes now I see the problem with ‘back’ link, we’re gonna fix this link soon. Thanks to you and Emily for pointing this out.

    Hi,
    I’ve added the code:

    <!– wp_link_robot_genlinks –>
    <!– wp_link_robot_addlinks –>

I’ve created categories, but only the add links section is showing. My slug name is blank…,because I am using default permalink option.
    It is not showing Categories
    Thanks!

    Hello Rob,

are you still having these issues? When I open your site I can see “Web Designers (1)” with one link in it.

    Thanks,

    Hi

    Re: http://www.bornsillyjokes.com/

I have put the link <!– wp_link_robot_genlinks –> on my home page. It is not showing up… please see bottom right under “Links”… also I have created a new page to add a link and put on the <!– wp_link_robot_addlinks –> within the body tags of that page but it is blank http://www.bornsillyjokes.com/Addlink.php … any thoughts?

I am also using Permalinks with a custom structure of
    /%category%/%postname%/

for some reason, where the code is inserted it is blank?

    Dave 13 years ago

ok… got the above working… but On ‘browse links page’ the buttons like edit, trash check and check all links are not working?

it is like they are empty links…

I put in a test link, but can not [trash] it…

    zdenka 13 years ago

    Hello Dave,

which WordPress version you are using? I have just tested this in 3.3.1 and no issues were found.

Edit, Trash and Check links are controlled via javascript. If you have some javascript bug on your page – can be caused by other plugin – it might prevent these links from working properly.

    Hi Zdenka,

I noticed it was showing a Javascript:void(0) in the URL link line…

I am using WordPress version 2.6.5
