Theme: neni version 1.1.6 by Marion Lindert
The following works and plays the video just fine:

The problem is that when I use the WP Edit Page (Text Tab) to insert it and click on the PUBLISH or UPDATE button, the screen goes solid white. The page is updated/published, but the screen goes white. I can reload the screen and my changes are there.
This is very consistent behavior.
I’ve narrowed down the cause to something in my theme. It does not happen with the Twenty Thirteen theme.
I have made several changes to the neni theme and really do not want to start over from scratch. Any ideas as to what part of the theme might be causing this behavior?

please check if you are using Settings -> FV WordPress Flowplayer -> Integrations -> Scan video length.
Are you using the Amazon S3 Protected Content? Please check if changing the Amazon bucket helps with this. Don’t forget to put it back afterwards to make sure you videos still play though.

I enabled Scan Video Length – no change
I am not protecting my Amazon S3 content
Again – the videos play just fine, it is only causing problems when trying to save the page content using the WP page editor (text).

please check your PHP error log to see what kind of error is triggered. You can fit it on FTP in public_html/wp-admin/error_log or in the home folder in some logs directory – it depends on your web server.
It seems that you can also use WP_DEBUG_LOG in your wp-config.php file to achieve this: http://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress#WP_DEBUG_LOG
