Quality Switching and Autoplay

Foliovision › Forums › FV Player › Troubleshooting › Quality Switching and Autoplay

    Hey there, hope you’re well..

    I found 2 issues.

    1. The “default value” for quality switching does not work with the embedded link. In our case the only way to set a value as default is to set the preferred value at first inside the settings-page.
In our special case we insert the links with -mobile into shortcode and “HD” was the first and “Mobile” the second parameter in settings. In this case “HD” was loading as default.
After switching “Mobile” to first and “HD” as second Parameter in settings, mobile load as default.

    2. We have 3 different videos on 3 different pages using “autoplay just once”. This works pretty fine for the first video.
But if you play the second or the third video at first, the other one (second or third) seems to use the same cookie. Just one of them autoplay once. In this case the other one never work with autoload.

Here are the links. Please do not publish them:

All of them served by cloudfront..

    1. (works fine all the time)

    2. (seems to connected with 3)

    3. (seems to connected with 2)

    Thank you and best regards,
    Bruno

    Hi Bruno!

Thank you very much for your detailed notes and the test pages. We have a short development pause while Martin is away on his summer bike trip (we are still troubleshooting installs and minor issues of course) but we’ll put fixes for the quality switching issues in the next version (Martin returns 7 July).
