The size is defined to be 83x83px, defined in /modules/flowplayer-frontend.php line 118.

    Love this plugin.
I’m using the latest version 1.2.17 and don’t see the solution above…
The size is defined to be 83x83px, defined in /modules/flowplayer-frontend.php line 118.
    Could you update this please?
    Thanks so much!

    Hi Mark,

It is actually in /models/flowplayer-frontend.php line 75. There you can see an <img> tag where you can set the width and height.

    Thanks,
    Milan

    Thanks Milan!
    Works like a charm. Now I have just two customizations left;
how to add a logo with the commercial license of Flowplayer (still have to purchase),
and how to position the splash button.
This is a great job and I’ll make a donation for the free plugin.

    Hi Mark,

If you buy our FV Flowplayer 5, you can get the commercial version directly from us (v5 though, not this older version). Thanks!

    Mark 12 years ago

    Hi Alec,
Where is the FV Flowplayer 5 on your site? Based on my limited testing of your products so far, I would definitely prefer buying something from you :-)
    Thanks,
    Mark

    Hi Mark,

we are planning to release the FV Flowplayer 5 soon.

    Thanks,
    Milan

    Mark 12 years ago

    Thanks Milan,
will your FV Flowplayer 5 have the ability to install a custom logo?
also, I’m assuming it will work with your mobile add-on?

    Hi Mark,

Yes FV Flowplayer 5 should allow a custom logo (Milan will confirm).

You won’t need the mobile add-on (it will be integrated). The new version is future pointed, focused more on HTML 5 and mobile devices with legacy Flash support.

We could sell you FV Flowplayer 5 now with a moneyback guarantee (in case you don’t like it) so you can start implementing it now. Single domain is on sale now at introductory price of $50/domain. If you need more domains, let us know and we’ll work out a special price for that as well.

    Mark 12 years ago

    Hi Alec,
Absolutely interested in FV 5 now. Would like to know about cost for multiple domains.
I’m not worried about liking it, what you’ve done so far is great!

    Hi Mark,

Yes, there will be an option to add your own logo if you purchase a commercial license.

    Thanks,
    Milan

    FV 5 is fantastic!
Was wondering if there is a way to use as an audio player also with mp3 file?
Thanks for a great new product,
    Mark

    Thinking about what I just posted;
Could I set the player dimension to width= x and height=y with y being only high enough for the controls to display? If so, how can the controls be set to show instead of show on mouseover?
    Thanks!

    Anonymous 12 years ago

    Hi Mark,

the original concept for Flowplayer 5 was to be a video player only. If there is a support for audio in the future, we will add it right away.

    Thanks,
    Milan

    Hi Milan,

I’m a bit more optimistic than you. I think it’s probably possible to build audio support in (saves loading yet another plugin).

    Hi Mark,

    We’ll keep you posted.

    Mark 12 years ago

    Hi Alec , Milan;
Based on the great job you’ve done so far, I would say adding the ability to use the plugin for audio pretty much captures the best of the best in one plugin. Although there are always tweaks and improvements ( as well as learning how to do some customization myself :-) I really think this version of your plugin hits it out of the park. As I mentioned in an email to Milan, having the ability to either remove the embed function (either sitewide or selective) probably fits the greatest need of folks doing membership sites.
Otherwise, this is just a fantastic player and great job!
Thanks again for letting me get in early with this :-) it is much appreciated!

    Hi Guys,

I am trying to edit the size of the play button but do see any options on Line 75 or 118 with those options 83x83px.

Is this still located in /modules/flowplayer-frontend.php ?

And is it on a new line?

    Thank you! Mark

    Hi Mark,

Our lead developer Martin will take a look at the start of next week and get back to you with an answer on either Monday or Tuesday.

From our testing, under the new engine I would say you now need to actually change the physical button and the CSS but I haven’t tried it myself yet.

    Alec,

Okay thank you very much, I will wait for the response next week. I am not that technical so I am not sure what the physical button and the CSS is.

    Hi Mark,

The physical button is a transparent png buried in the player, i.e. an image. CSS is the layout language of a web page and of our player. Using CSS you can change the look of any web page and of our video player.

Martin will let you know where to make your changes soon.

    Alec,

Thank you very much for breaking that down, it does make sense now!

Look forward to the info from Martin.

BTW: I made a new post, is there anyway to switch the button as well to the Button with the word “Play” in it.

    Thank Again!

    Hello Mark,

please check the “How can I change the play icon?” question in our FAQ.

There you will find CSS which you can adapt into your template.

    Thanks,
    Martin

    Martin,

Thank you for your reply, let me see if I have this correct, pardon the ignorance cause I don’t know much about coding.

    I need to go to wp-content> plugins> fv-wordpress-flowplayer> css> flowplayer.css

Open/Edit the flowplayer.css and paste the code listed below? is that correct? If I am correct, where exactly do I paste that code, at the very top of the file? and how do I add some element ID?

I noticed the a few times in the code ({PATH TO YOUR IMAGE}.png) Where can I get the Play Button/Image located under Styling on this page?
    http://flash.flowplayer.org/plugins/flash/viralvideos.html
This is the play/image I would like to use, the one under Styling.

    Hi Mark,

While FV Flowplayer 5 is free, for the level of customisation you require, it looks to me you would need to engage a developer or a CSS teacher.

We would be happy to help you ourselves. Please file a pro support incident.

    Thanks for using FV plugins!

    Mark Choo 12 years ago

    Alec,

In that case can I just some info on how to make the play button bigger for now? and I will come back to changing the button at a later date.
