I have a custom page template with more then one [fvplayer src="url" lightbox="true;text" caption="Watch Video"] shortcodes. I want to get the duration of each video I have on this page, so I added the [fv_time] shortcode after each [fvplayer] shortcode, but it doesn’t display the duration.
I tried to do the same with a post (for comparison), and it did work. I understand that the reason for this is that the videos on my page weren’t scanned for the video length like the videos in posts. The question is how can I get the duration in my case?

Thank you for your response. Obviously I read this part of the programmers guide, but it doesn’t help me in my case. In the guide it’s all about fv players in a post, while in my case I have the players in a page.

how are you storing your video URLs on your page? FV Player check the post content and meta values for [fvplayer] shortcodes, so the duration of these videos should be available.
