I have a quick question.. is there anyway i can add an automatic clip (like a 5 second clip) before the actual video plays on lets say every player, or each player in particular… This would be great for branding options with video logos.

we have the feature, but currently there is no interface for it. We plan to add it really soon.
If you need it right now, you can just enter the pre-roll vidoe as the first playlist item and then the main video as second. Next you can hide the playlist buttons in CSS for that specific post:
#post-{POST ID} .fp-playlist-external { display: none }

Martinohh okay awesome.. I think ill just wait for the interface, this will be really great especially for video ADS also. It will be so easy to add new ads or control branding… any word on when customers should expect this..? and i really like the support do you have a donate button anywhere, id like to donate $10 bux at the end of the week for the customer support, not much but something extra for you guys.

the pre-roll feature was added to FV Player Pro. It’s currently in beta testing, you can look for “Video Ads (Pro) (Beta)” in the Settings panel.
It allows you to add custom video ads in front of your videos. First you define them in the settings (video file URLs and the ad link) and then you enable them for your videos in the individual video settings (or add ads=”random” to the [fvplayer] shortcode).
We are still testing it on some client sites, once it’s fully tested, we will add user guide and all.

Custom pre-roll and post-rolls are a pro feature of our player. If you want to serve VAST ads as a publisher and monetise your videos you will need our addon which allows use of VAST and VPAID ads.

That worked perfectly. Sorry to ask so many questions, but it seems that the VAST ads are playing on all FV Flowplayer videos even if I have not added the tag into the shortcode. Is there a way to not have a VAST ad on certain videos. I did not see that in the user guide, unless I missed it.

For some reason the vast=”skip” option is not working for me right now. This is a big issue because we have sold ads directly to several advertisers and essentially use a playlist to run their ad. When the VAST ad does not skip it actually plays a VAST ad, my custom pre-roll, then another VAST ad before the actual content runs. Please advise as soon as you can so my clients don’t get too upset.
