Hi guys,
I have a membership site and today I realised that any video can be downloaded from my website when using Android 7.1 and Google browser when using full screen. This is a huge problem for me.
It seems that the FV Player is not been loaded in full screen and some kind of native Android player takes the control.I’m using Vimeo Plus, FV Player 6.2.6, FV Player Pro 0.8.28.

I’d be very grateful if you could give me a simple way to solve this problem. I’d never imagine that the result of 3 years of hard work would be available for download so easely.

Hello Renato,
Could you please confirm that the option Use native fullscreen on mobile is inactive? You can find it in Settings > FV Player Pro > Setup tab > Mobile Settings.

thank you for responding.Yes, both options under “Mobile Settings” are inactive.
The download button just shows up in full screen. You can see on this other screenshot that FV Player works when you don’t use full screen.Any idea?

so far we are not sure why you would get the browser built-in fullscreen mode instead of FV Player. It works for us on Android 4.4.4, Android 6, Android 7 and Android 7.1. Could you please let us know what exact Google Chrome version you are using?
Could you please also check if you get the same behavior on these videos?

Google Chrome 60.0.3112.107Yes, I get the same result from your links. Take a look at the screenshot I took from your page.
Just to make it clear, the download is done when I click on the button. I mean, it is not just an icon showing up. It works.

I was able to get Chrome 60.0.3112.107 now. I’m not sure why I wasn’t getting that update yesterday (I tried 4 mobile phones). So now I can see the issue.
We released FV Player 6.2.7 which takes care of hiding that download button.
Chrome 60 changed something about the fullscreen mode. I checked core Flowplayer 7 and it does handle it properly, so once we upgrade FV Player to it, you will be getting the full-featured FV Player fullscreen mode.
To make the videos much harder to download we are also preparing a special option for Vimeo videos. It will force use of MPEG-DASH and HLS streams only. While it will then stop playing in some old browsers (we will put in a coherent error message for these ) it will make your videos much more protected agains all sorts of video downloading tools.

Hello Martin,
Yes, the download button has gone, but native controls of FV player like AB loop, link and speed don’t show up in full screen mode. The button to exit from full screen mode doesn’t show up as well as you can see on this new screenshot.

thank you for your followup, I realized the issue is also that the fullscreen capability of Chrome 60 in incorrectly detected.
Now it’s fixed and FV Player 6.2.8 is out.
