Category Feed 404 Error

Hello :)

I have installed the beta version (1.1.4beta) and I am running WP 3.2.1

The issue I am having is the “category feeds” are returning a 404 error. (‘http://www.domain.com/category/feed/’)

My permalink structure is /%category%/%postname%/

I have had the same error on previous version of WP using TLC too.

I can recreate this on different WP installs across multiple domains.

Hello Ken,

thank you for your kind words. We see that there are some issues when using /category/postname structure and this seems to be one of them.

I’ll add that to one of the things to look after in our next release, which will use a bit different architecture, but will still preserve the original Top Level Categories behavior (I think it was showing pages instead of categories when they have the same URL, I’ll double check).

We preserved all the standard category URLs but (same as the older versions), if there’s a page with same URL as category, we show this page instead of the category.

I had same problem and now, it’s working, thanks o lot! First top level plugin, which works with prefix /%category%/%postname%/

Ive got a little bit of an error when users click the “read older posts button”

its going from domain.com/blog -> older posts link -> daimin.com/blog/page/2/

which gives them the page not found error.

ive had to manually redirect
/blog/page/2/ -> domain.com/category/blog/page/2/

this is wordpress 3.2.1 and 1.1.3 of the plugin

Hi, I was with 404 problem in all my /category/page/”number”, now with this dev it looks like it worked perfectly. I still just implemented it in my test site, soon I’ll put in a big one.

But first: The only change in this dev version is the category pages? Should I be woried about problems in other kinds of pages, like the comments or attachments?
