Due to the nature of HTML5 video, this only works reliably on desktop computers and iPad tablets. iPhone iOS<7 only allows us to seek the video into start position in HLS stream. Android fails to process the start time, but the end time works.
The timeline is not stretched to the selected time frame where the internal player is used. That means iPhones and Android version < 4.
