Hello Judd,
Thanks very much for letting me know about the download issues. There seems to be a problem with the Drainhole plugin by John Godley which is corrupting our members area downloads.
We’ll get that fixed but in the meantime I’ve moved Foliopress WYSIWYG 2.1.1 into the public section and it should be no problem to download.
Let me know how you like it.

When I try to activate this plugin, I get a message that it triggered a fatal error and that it was deactivated. I followed the Readme.txt directions. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Hello Tom,
I’m sorry about this. We are looking into it right now.
I will post more information when we figure out what happened…
In the meantime, are you sure that your PHP version is 5. Foliopress WYSIWYG only runs on PHP5 at the moment.

Hello Tom,
Can you please make sure, that foliopress-wysiwyg folder is copied inside plugins folder and that plugins folder is located %YourWordpressFolder%/wp-content/plugins, so foliopress-wysiwyg will be located for instance like this %YourSite%/Wordpress/wp-content/plugins/foliopress-wysiwyg
It is very important that plugins folder is located like default, because foliopress-wysiwyg needs to include wp-config.php file, and path to this file is given in relative path to its current location. This will be added to documentation soon. Please write if this helped you to resolve this problem.

I checked with my webshost. It’s running PHP 5.0.4. And I do have the plugin folder in the right location. And I did CHMOD the config.ini file as mentioned in the readme.txt.
Any other thoughts? Thanks.

08

I’ll do that and let you know how it works. Thanks.

The editor looks great, but I seem to be having problems with kfm. If I try to open the file manager I get these javascript errors:
kdnd_targets has no properties
(no name)()tw-sack.js (line 43)
sack(undefined)tw-sack.js (line 192)
autosave()autosave.js (line 101)
(no name)()prototype.js (line 191)
(no name)()prototype.js (line 105)
[Break on this error] null
all.php (line 2218)
Class is not defined
all.php (line 6)
kfm has no properties
[Break on this error] Ok : “OK” // as in “OK / Cancel”
en.js (line 151)
I get this error when using Firefox 2 on both Windows and the Mac. When using Internet Explorer 7 on the PC I get a javascript popup error stating ‘Toolbar set “Foliovision” doesn’t exist. I have cleared the cache on all my browsers. Do you have any ideas?
Thanks,
Justin

Hello Justin,
Thanks for your detailed notes. Peter and I will take a close look at this tomorrow. The current version of Foliopress WYSIWYG is working fine on our servers so it’s probably a server configuration issue.

Hello Everybody,
We’ve upgraded our installation guide and done testing on a number of different servers. Installation on non-standard servers should be much easier now.

Toolbar set “Foliovision” doesn’t exist
I get this error msg. when trying to add a new page.
Could it be that I am set up on a virtual server? WAMPserver 2.0…am certain everything is configured correctly. I hope. Please help and advise.
Thank you.

Hello David,
you really shouldn’t be using 0.2 version. Please upgrade to the latest version.
If you are still having issues, here’s how to track them down:
Install Web Developer toolbar into your Firefox and use ‘View JavaScript’ function under ‘Information’ to view all the loaded javascript.
This way you can see all the loaded javascript, so make sure every js in plugin directory is properly loaded. I’m pretty sure there is a bunch of other ways to find out about loaded javascript, but this is the first thing that comes to my mind.
If some javascript is missing (that means you see the page HTML instead of the actual code – you can also try to paste the javascript URL into your browser and try to load it) make sure you have the right permissions for all the js files and directories a checkout your WAMPserver error log.
Hope that helps.
Thanks,
M.
