    Hi Jörn,

    Could you share some more details about your issues with 1.1. and Safari? As a temporary measure, I would suggest you download and use FV Flowplayer 1.0.6 which is also listed above.

    Sorry for your issues.

    Hi

    Could you tell me what CSS I need to edit to remove the grey box that appears around the play button when hovering over the splash image.

    Thanks

    Hi Marcel,

    thanks for finding the solution for Coda-Slider.

    About the CSS, and the grey box appearing when hovering splash image, this is new to us and it does not appear on out test sites. It might be come collision with your existing CSS.
    Our CSS styles are located in css/flowplayer.css, and there is some styling for splash images also in models/flowplayer-frontend.php around line 117.

    Hi Zdenka,

    This is the link http://www.adadproductions.com
    If I go to settings – fv-wordpress-flowplayer the example video witch is normally playing has also a black screen. So I think it’s a bug in the upgrade.

    Hi Kenneth,

    I checked out the link and after refreshing the page the video played well. But I noticed you’re using splash screen along with autoplay and autobuffering. Could you please try to turn off both, autoplay and autobuffering, as these are useless as long as you use splash image, maybe this causes that the video doesn’t play correctly when the page is loaded for the first time.

    Hi Carol,

    the centering is set in the css/flowplayer.css file in the flowplayer_container.

    If you want to change the alignment of single videos, you can do that by wrapping the whole shortcode into one div with the defined style:
    <div style=”float: left”>
    [flowplayer ...]
    </div>
    Hope this helps you,

    I’m sorry I did not exactly understood what have you inserted into index.php or page.php
    The shortcodes should be placed into the posts.

    For the grey box itself, please check whether you footer contains the wp call <?php wp_footer(); ?>

    Hi. Thanks for this plugin.

    There is couple of thing I would like to know;
    - Is there any chance you will add the Embed plugins and Streaming plugins/Extensions to this plugin in the future?
    - If not, can somebody give a guide on how to add those plugins/extensions to this (FV WordPress Flowplayer)?

    Hi Reezo,

    We have no immediate plans to work on streaming plugins. FV Flowplayer is focused on self-hosted videos. It’s a way to avoid getting a bunch of YouTube branding on your site leading people away from your site somewhere else.

    We are more interested in supporting hmtl 5 than true streaming. That said, we will support streaming going forward once somebody adds the code.

    Thanks.

    (related to Gabe’s post above)
    When using the plugin, I noticed that the function ‘fp_media_send_to_editor’ is totally interfering with adding Media types from the Media Library add buttons.

    Adding images and other types specifically work, but when adding a PDF and hitting Insert into Post, it renders nothing.

    Narrowed it down to this specific function in backend.php.

    I had been using the previous version, but upgraded to 1.1 hoping that it would be a fix, but this is an issue that continues to exist.

    Can you look into it and see if you can see a different call or recommend one that I can use? I have no problem editing the PHP and have safeguards in place to prevent updates to edited plugins – unless done manually.

    Thank you!

    Please can you help? I posted my question to Feedburner Help but never got replies/suggestions.

    I’m using Flowplayer video player in a WordPress site – and Feedburner for email subscription service. Please can you tell me how I can add the rel=”enclosure” code so that Feedburner will display the video (and link to it) in the email?

    The Flowplayer code looks like this:
    [flowplayer src='http://kaichido.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/kcd2min_energizer640_360.flv' width=640 height=360
    splash='http://kaichido.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Two-Min-Energy-Splash-page.jpg']

    I don’t know where to put the
    rel=”enclosure”

    I also include a text link to the video and I have SmartCast activated.

    The feed email shows the splash page only – The splash isn’t a link to the video and there is a red X under the splash image.

    Feedburner’s guide to SmartCast is here:

    Hi Susan,

    if I understood correctly you would like the video showed up in the email. I am afraid this is not possible.
    The splash image appears there because the email client finds the full link to image which is included in the shortcode.
    But the shortcode for flowplayer cannot be interpreted in the email, this can only work on your website.
    What I can suggest is that you include an image into the email along with the link to a site where user can watch this video.

    Kind Regards,
    Zdenka

    Found the problem. It is the version of Flowplayer that FV Flowplayer comes with. I got no problems when using version 3.1.5 of Flowplayer.
    So probably all videos stopped working when the latest FV Flowplayer came out.

    Hi Zdenka,

    That next release can’t come out next week, it has to come out today or tomorrow. This is production software.

    Hi Andreas,

    Thanks for the tip. Zdenka please look into this right away. If there’s some kind of issue with the version of Flowplayer we are including, let’s get this sorted conclusively with either using one of our archived versions or making sure that we don’t allow this sort of issue to happen again.

    If Flowplayer is deliberately messing around with compatibility, then we should always be using a known good version.

    In the meantime, anyone who is having issues can always downgrade to FV Flowplayer version 1.0.6 (known good version without branding).

    Hi Graeme,

    if the autoplay is off by default, then just add autoplay=true in the first video shortcode. Otherwise you need to set autoplay=false for the other three videos.

    we investigated the problem you reported, and it seems we have some conflict in javascript when a splash image is used.
    To fix your problem immediately, you can download older version of our plugin, and replace the file /flowplayer/flowplayer.min.js with older version of this file.

    Thank you Zdenka, for your quick reply.
    this is what i found.
    in the html text widget this is the code works for me:

    [flowplayer src='http://www.yoursite.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2010/Video/CatBoat.01_1.flv' width=290 height=170splash='images/boatimage.jpg']

    if I put my image and video outside the /videos folder create in the root, it won’t show up.

    in the HTML of a single post, the video show up in if it is in a different location of your site, the image no.
    So Conclusion, videos and images should alway been stored in yoursite.com/videos/ and your images in yoursite.com/videos/images.

    I replaced the .js as you told me then put again the last version it seem to works now.
    Thanks for your help, will look now about this black line around the player Grrrrr!! :)

    Hi Arthur,

    if you want to use relative paths to your videos, they should be placed in the /videos/ directory. The same hold for images.

    If you want to reference videos or images with the full path (http://…), you can place them whenever you want.

    If you have a license key to the commercial version, you need to include this in the admin section in the wordpress.

    Btw. the black border around the video is defined in the css/flowplayer.css on the 6th line.

    Hi Arthur,

    ok, so here’s what you can do:
    Upload your 3.2.5 version to /flowplayer/commercial/ directory.

    Then open file /models/flowpayer.php, scroll down to locate the very last function, comment out lines 106-108 (that if .. else), leaving only the last ‘define’, and fill the correct name of your new flowplayer file, so you replace flowplayer.commercial-3.1.5.swf with your new filename flowplayer.3.2.5.swf or something like that. Save the file.

    This way the the code certainly takes Flowplayer you specified, and it should work with the license key you entered.

    Please let me know how this went.

    Hi Arthur,

    yes, we actually were stripping of all non alphanumerical characters from the licence key and color names.

    I just fixed this bug, so you can download the 1.2.1 version of FV WordPress Flowplayer. If you like to keep what you already changed, just copy the function _set_conf (lines 68-79) from /models/flowplayer.php and paste it into your php file.

    We will try to figure out the solution how to make the use of commercial version more user-friendly.
