Windows

We don't like Microsoft Windows much (Microsoft's well documented history of destroying other small companies like this one as a primary reason). The recent flirtation with full DRM lockdown hasn't helped the relationship. Plus Windows has always been just plain ugly and slow.

But sometimes even we have to use Windows. We have a few Windows XP licenses for machines on which to test our websites and to run SEO software.

This section covers our travails with Windows, including the most useful information we've found for our own use. This is as much internal documentation as anything else.

A kind of how to stay alive and use Microsoft Windows without a five man Microsoft certified IT department.
