Just put 3.0 down on my server, it works fine with most of my plugins from version 2.9.x...even some I didn't expect would work, like TTFTitles for example.

Suprisingly a few plugins I was using in 2.9.x where hold overs that I had installed since a prior 2.x installation and found that new 2.9.x versions where availble that work fine in 3.0, like iCal for Events, Ultimate Category Excluder.

The least compatible plugs are those which stopped being developed by the original authors and are now appear dead like Coppermine Integration or PHP-Exec for example.

As to the themes, way over customized versions where always a problem when doing an update, but I found a vew baseline 3 column themes designed for version WP3.0 that are awesome and eliminate the need for a lot of the custom tricks and scripts I was using.

Good luck, 3.0 made me happy.

I agree that the future will eventually be awesome (for computers anyway, not so sure about the ecosphere but that's another topic).

I think Snow Leopard is pretty good now (10.6.3+), but I'm certainly glad that I avoided the nights of troubleshooting and weeks without working software that early upgraders faced. It's normal that a new OS has problems, but I see no reason why I'd want to live through those teething pains.

To be honest, Leopard is more than awesome itself. I haven't noticed problems of speed and multithreading on my computers (MacBook Pros, Macbooks, Mac Minis and a Hackintosh Quad: actually I think the Hackintosh is Snow Leopard now).

Actually... you're missing out on a lot more than just drivers. The underpinnings in 10.6.x are so much better implemented than in Leopard. Speed, stability, and multi-threading are magnitudes better.
